A Little About Us

​

Edison Marathi Shalla is a school operated voluntarily by teachers and parents, with the aim of teaching our children to read, write and speak in Marathi. The school is located in Edison, New Jersey. The classes are held at the JCC center at 1775 Oak Tree Road Edison, NJ 08820, on a Sunday.

Shalla Registration

  • Student must be 6 years complete to enroll in Edison Marathi Shalla.

  • Please send us an email by submitting the "Keep in Touch" form below. Add your inquiries or for the next school year enrollment. Please include your child's details (name, age, skill). Tentative registration opening date is April. Please revisit to see the updates here. 

  • The enrollment is first come first serve basis. We will add your email id to our new year enrollment mailing list, and you will hear back from us if we can place you in this school year. Alternatively, you can reach out to Bridgewater or Morganville Marathi Shalla for open seats and other details. For Bridgewater Marathi Shalla, go to Balaji Temple Bridgewater website. For Morganville Marathi Shalla email Snehal Vaze - svaze04@yahoo.com

  • Shalla annual fees for 2023-2024 school year:  $220 for the first child and $200 for the additional child(ren). Fees don't have to be paid until after the school year starts.

  • Please note the new Shalla Picnic Date. The 2023-2024 picnic date is now changed to Sunday June 30th.

BMM Marathi Shala

BMM Yuwa Internship 2024 program for Shala and Yuwa students (age 14 and above). BMM is partnering with numerous professionals/businesses/organizations this year in developing the content. 

​

BMM will issue BMM Certificates and BMM credit hours to the interns for successfully completing their assigned projects and a set number of working hours. Interns can accumulate BMM credit hours for which they will receive College tuition assistance/grants to be decided at a later date based on availability of funds.

Program details:

Duration: Mandatory, 30 hours in June plus 4 meetings with mentors. Complete projects and post stories. 

Earned BMM Credit hours: 3

Monetary Value: TBD/BMM Credit Hour

Age requirement: High-school and College students (14+)

Application Deadline: March 15, 2024
